Ms Nametsegang Motshegwa is an Educator with Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, a Master of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality Management and currently pursuing a Post Graduate Certificate in Quality Assurance in Education and a PhD in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She has over 10 years of experience in the Education sector as a Lecturer, a Quality Assurance Manager, a Principal Examiner and as a Teaching Assistant. she published numerous papers and taken part in a lot of international conferences as a Presenter. She is also a Board member for HATAB, a member of Botswana Chefs Association, Women in Tourism, a Setter and a Moderator.

Has vast experience in the education and training sector gained from several attachments in public and private institutions in three SADC countries namely Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana. Developing young people’s talent is the greatest motivation in my life, a passion that has also extended into lifelong learning for adults in professional or social spheres. Lately, I have also been involved with corporate training -financial modelling and personal finance.

I largely interested in pursuing projects that improve the socio-economic welfare of regions, places, institutions and individual and finding solutions to financing impact projects.

Mrs Ambili Thomas

Mrs Ambili Thomas is currently working as a Senior Lecturer with Botho University (BU), Gaborone. She is doing her PhD in Computer Science with the University of Botswana. She has over 15 years of combined experience in academia and the software industry.  Before joining BU, she was working as a software professional with Software Application and Information Solutions (SAiS) Botswana. She has acquired experience in the implementation of ERP/software systems at various Botswana organizations, such as the University of Botswana, Diamond Trading Company Botswana, Botswana Housing Corporation, Botswana Life Insurance, and the Department of Roads Transport & Safety. She also has experience in designing and developing various eCommerce portals and web-based shipping applications. She is a certified android application engineer, certified Microsoft big data engineer, and a Microsoft certified professional. 

She has presented her research papers in various international conferences, published in ‘International Journal of Emerging Trends in Engineering Research and has recently contributed a book chapter in the Springer series [Thomas A., Narasimhan V.L. (2020) Modelling CPU Execution Time of AES Encryption Algorithm as Employed Over a Mobile Environment]. Her areas of research include Mobile Cloud Computing and Mobile Security. Ambili Thomas teaches subjects such as mobile operating systems, mobile communications, mobile device programming, and wireless network security. She has acquired experience as Lecturer, Researcher, Academia module leader, Academia curriculum developer, Software Developer, and Software project leader.

Mr James T.P. Matshwele

James is an up-and-coming academic in the field of applied chemistry with research interests in the following:

  3. Environmental Chemistry applied to clean water and their technology
  4. Ruthenium Dye-Sensitized solar cells in clean energy technology.

Shantha Indrajith Hikkaduwa

Shantha Indrajith, Senior Lecturer, Botho University, Botswana With a blend of experience of twenty-eight years in the academy and the industry as a lecturer, practising lawyer, accountant & Manager, he has authored four books for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICA-SL) & Association of Accounting Techniques of Sri Lanka (AAT-SL) and presented and published research papers at international conferences and journals. He has got academic & Professional qualifications in three disciplines, Law, Management & Accounting. Law graduate (LLB) of University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, International Management –MBA(UK) from the University of Wales. His academic experience extends to Business Schools in Sri Lanka, Brunei, the UK and presently in Botswana. His research interest is in Sustainability, Business law and management. In these areas, he has presented seven research papers and published five papers. He has been teaching various modules such as Business Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Taxation, Financial Management, Corporate Governance, Essentials of Entrepreneurship, and Research Methodology. Dr Srinath Doss

Dr Srinath Doss is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and researcher and Fellow in the Department of Network and Infrastructure Management, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Botho University, Botswana. He has published and presented more than 35 papers in International Journals and a good number of prestigious conferences. His research interests include MANET (mobile ad hoc network), Information Security, Network Security and Cryptography, Cloud computing, wireless and sensor networks. He has published papers in highly reputed journals like the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Springer. Dr Srinath Doss serves on the Editorial Board of seven International Journals. He is an advisor for the International Journal of Research in Mechanical Mechatronics and Automobile Engineering. He has taught modules such as Network Security, Information and Data Security, Protocols and Internetworking Standards, Data Communication and Networking, Computer Network Security, Enterprise Application Development and Internet and Web Programming.

Dr Rajiv Kumar

Dr Kumar has experience of 17 years in academics and he has worked in various organizations. He has a PhD in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India. He has published more than 30 research papers in various journals and conferences including Springers, Elsevier etc. He has supervised more than 20 students at the Master level. He is a member of various professional bodies like IEEE, IETE, ISTE, CSI etc.

Dr Strike Mbulawa

Dr Strike Mbulawa is a well-seasoned research economist who has been in the educational sector for more than 10 years. He has worked in the industry (private and public) for eight years. He has a Doctorate in Economics (UB); an MSc in Finance and Investment (NUST), a BSc (Hons) in Economics (UZ), Management Accounting (CIMA, UK) and PostGraduate Diploma Higher Education (BU). 

He is a Certified Associate for Digital teaching & Learning, a certified assessor and a moderator by the Botswana Qualifications Authority. He does corporate training in the fields of Accounting, Finance and Economics. It is the same fields that his research efforts are being channelled into. He is well acquainted with time series, non-parametric, parametric and panel data analysis. He has advanced knowledge of Software for Statistics and Data Science (STATA), Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), e-views and Financial Modeling in Excel. He has been working with think tanks like the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) since 2010. He received training and practical applications in the proposal, data analysis and drafting policy briefs. He has published over twenty-seven (27) research articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Abhishek Ranjan

Dr Abhishek Ranjan is the Dean and Head of Botho University, Maseru Campus. He is responsible for managing the Lesotho Campus operations which include: Academic Services, Quality Management, Accreditation, Admissions, Corporate Training, Human resources, Finance, Marketing and Stakeholder relations. He is also responsible for smooth, effective and efficient coordination between Maseru Campus and Botho University, Gaborone campus which serves as the head office. He has over 12 years of experience in teaching and administration in the University setup. He taught various Computer Science and Information Technology courses and also was involved in the development and administration of academic programmes and is a seasoned researcher. Dr Ranjan is a seasoned researcher whose research interest area is MANET (mobile ad hoc network), Network Security and Deep Learning. Dr Ranjan has presented at various international conferences and his work has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. 

Prior to being given the responsibility of heading the Botho University Maseru, Dr, Ranjan served as a Dean for Faculty of Computing, Manager Internal Quality Assurance Department, Module Leader and Senior Lecturer at Botho University Botswana Campus. As a Manager for Internal Quality Assurance, Dr Ranjan led a team to set up Botho University Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2008 and attained the certification of ISO 9001:2008 from Botswana Bureau of Standards. Dr Ranjan’s experience spans Teaching, Research, Training, Quality Assurance, Faculty Management, Education Management and Campus Management roles.

Mr John Batani

Mr Batani is a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology based in Maseru. He has published at least 6 journal articles and one textbook, with three more textbooks currently in production. His research interests include ICT4D, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing and AI. He is currently working on emerging technologies for reducing under-five mortality.
