The Vice Chancellor of Botho University, Dr. Sheela Raja Ram, was invited to be part of an elite group of global education experts at the opening plenary session at the IFC Global Education Conference. The plenary was held on the topic “Rethink and Redesign: Skills to Power the Future of Jobs in Emerging Markets.” Sharing the stage with leading global education experts, the session was moderated by New York Times bestseller Author and award-winning journalist, Mr. Jeff Selingo.
Botho University was one of a select few African higher education institutions attending this prestigious conference held from Mar 6-7th on the theme “Disrupt, Rethink, and Redesign Global Education Systems.” Dr. Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University, globally acknowledged as one of the world’s most innovative universities, was the Keynote speaker at the conference. Dr. Sheela was also part of a second-panel discussion on Gender in Education: Rethinking STEM for Equitable Employment Outcomes. Botho University is proud to be recognised on such a large international platform as a thought leader in the field of higher education, bringing in a proudly African perspective.
