BU Sustainability Social Impact Report

The 2022 Sustainability and Social Impact Report is the first report that Botho University has published. It clearly reflects Botho University’s commitment to the economic and social progress of the key stakeholders, as well as its dedication of resources to environmental awareness and preservation.

The Report is a self-assessment of the University’s impact and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations, which had an impact on 12 of the 17 SDG. Therefore, by delivering high-quality programs that serve national human resource development goals, BU brings value to governments and economies. The report illustrates how BU aims to become a more sustainable and robust institution in the long run through increasing efficiency, industry-relevant curriculum, strong pedagogical emphasis, significant research, the latest technology and students experiences.

Despite the economic instability, the University Management team and all employees are commended for their diligence, creativity, and unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education. The BU Board reaffirms their commitment to continually invest in better educational programs that help transform Africa by equipping young graduates with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to create value, as well as the ability to drive the growth through a virtuous cycle of steady job creation and continuous productivity gains. Through the Alumni, research, and consulting projects, Botho University continues to penetrate the rest of society with a culture of ethical professionalism, environmental responsibility, dignity, and respect for all persons without discrimination.
