2025 Botho University Graduate Tracer Study

Botho University stands as one of the few institutions in the countries we operate to consistently conduct tracer studies, reinforcing our commitment to enhancing employability through data-driven decision-making. Our ongoing dedication to improving employment outcomes for our students and graduates is reflected in our regular tracer studies, which play a crucial role in shaping our strategic initiatives.

In 2024, Botho University elevated this initiative by collaborating with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to conduct one of our most extensive and impactful tracer studies to date. Under the guidance of global experts from the IFC, we received specialized training on designing and executing a large-scale tracer study aimed at measuring graduate employability—a critical Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for our institution. Over several months, our team underwent intensive training, benefiting from one-on-one mentorship, coaching, and insights from international experts. This collaboration underscored the importance of tracer studies and demonstrated their pivotal role in driving success at leading universities worldwide.

Botho University remains at the forefront of employability-focused education, using these studies to ensure our graduates are equipped with the skills and opportunities needed for successful careers.

What are the benefits of Alumni participating in a Tracer Study? Key reasons include:

    • Because Alumni feedback matters as they have been consumers of the university educational programmes and associated services.
    • For enhancing existing initiatives targeting graduate employability and research which are hallmarks of all the leading universities globally.
    • Allowing Botho University to participate in international university ranking exercises to ensure visibility to the impactful work that the university is doing as a pan-african, quality higher education provider.
